S’il s’agit bien de la même œuvre, nous en présentons cette fois la deuxième version qui ne comporte plus ni clarinette ni luth (voir le texte de Michael Talbot)…

Those who have heard our previous recording of works by Vivaldi may be surprised to realise that the Concerto RV 556 ‘Per la solennità di San Lorenzo’ is also included in this second volume. It is indeed the same work, but this time the other version, without either clarinet or lute (see Michael Talbot’s introductory text).
