Une Âme Juive à Paris
Chants de la liturgie hébraïque pour les moments importants de l’année et de la vie. Rares au disque, les 7 bénédictions chantées à l’occasion du mariage; les chants pour Yom Kippour (le Jour du Grand Pardon) et pour la nouvelle année (Rosh Hashana) etc… La beauté solennelle et inspirante de ces prières chantées interprétées depuis toujours par les rabbins et les ministres officiants, accompagnées du chœur mixte Chœur Liturgique de JEM-Copernic et de Didier Seutin à l’orgue, organiste, ne cessent de nous émouvoir. Ecoutez ici, l’interprétation du Rabbin Gabriel Farhi, la charge émotionnelle de sa voix et le supplément d’âme qui se dégage de son interprétation.
Le Chœur Liturgique de JEM-Copernic est un chœur mixte exclusivement formé de chanteurs professionnels, chantant à vue, et ce en hébreu, ce qui représente une conjonction rare de talents. Plusieurs d’entre eux ont été choristes de Radio-France. A géométrie variable, le choeur passe d’un effectif de 6 chanteurs (2 sopranos, 1 alto, 1 ténor, 2 basses), lors des offices courants, à 16 chanteurs (4 par pupitre) lors des fêtes du Nouvel An au Palais des Congrès. On trouve souvent un effectif intermédiaire de 8 ou 12 chanteurs lors des mariages.

Songs of the Hebrew liturgy celebrating all the important moments of the year and of life. Rare on the record, the 7 blessings sung on the occasion of the wedding; the songs for Yom Kippur (the Day of Forgiveness) and for the New Year (Rosh Hashana) etc… The solemn and inspiring beauty of these long-sung prayers by the rabbis, accompanied by the mixed choir Choeur Liturgique de JEM-Copernic and Didier Seutin (organ), really move us. The Liturgical Choir of JEM-Copernic is a mixed choir exclusively made up of professional singers, sight reading also in Hebrew, a rare conjunction of talents. Several of them have been choirsters for Radio-France. The choir includes 6 singers (2 sopranos, 1 alto, 1 tenor, 2 basses), during regular services, growing to 16 singers (4 per section) during the New Year celebrations at the Paris Palais des Congrès, with an intermediate number of 8 or 12 singers for weddings.
