Les concertos interprétés ici sont des transcriptions pour trompette d’œuvres originel­lement écrites pour hautbois, ou pour flûte en ce qui concerne le Concerto “La Notte” Op.1 O n°2 de Vivaldi. Apparue sous l’Antiquité comme beaucoup d’instruments à vent, la trompette, que les Italiens nommaient “tromba”, servait surtout au service des villes et à l’accompagnement des hérauts, lorsque Monteverdi l’intégra pour la première fois à l’orchestre en 1607 dans son opéra Orfeo…

The concertos included on this recording are transcriptions for trumpet of works originally intended for the oboe-or for the flute, in the case of Vivaldi’s Concerto “La Notte”, op.10 n°2. As is the case with many wind instruments, the origin of the trumpet-known to the Italians as the “tromba”-goes back to antiquity.
